STAT-UP was founded in Munich in September 2003 as a specialized provider of statistical consulting and data science. It has been represented by an independent branch in Madrid since 2010. The owner-managed company operates from the centre of Munich. The employees of STAT-UP have relevant diploma or master's degrees and the majority have doctorates in their respective fields. In addition to statistics and (financial and economic) mathematics, these also include subjects such as biology, medicine and astrophysics with a strong quantitative and statistical orientation.

KATHARINA SCHÜLLER
Katharina Schüller is one of the leading experts in data science, artificial intelligence and statistics. Her top topics include data strategies, data literacy, data ethics & AI ethics, smart city and diversity. She speaks at leading international conferences on current challenges of data and AI as well as digital education. She is also a jury member for various prizes and competitions. Katharina Schüller founded the company STAT-UP Statistical Consulting & Data Science 20 years ago during her studies, which she now heads as CEO. With her international team of mathematicians and statisticians, she advises top international corporations as well as federal ministries and federal offices on developing data strategies and models to make data-based decisions with the help of statistics, artificial intelligence and machine learning. She also passes on her knowledge of data and statistics to leadership teams in lectures and workshops. Katharina Schüller studied psychology at the Technical University of Dresden and statistics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich.
Ansgar Seyfferth holds a MSc and BSc in Physics and a Diploma in Economics and Business Administration (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Gemany). Since 1995 he is working in Madrid, where he also completed a master's degree in Mathematical Engineering (Universidad Complutense). After a career in several multinational companies, he started building up our independent office in Madrid in 2010, which he manages since then. He also teaches statistics as an invited professor at Universidad de Alcalá and data visualization and data fluency as an adjunct professor at IE Business School.
Ansgar has a broad experience in IT-, technical, mathematical and statistical consulting, including instruction in these areas, as well as in design and sales of complex IT-systems and solutions. Besides his mother tongue German, he is bilingual in Spanish, speaks an excellent English, and has a reasonable command of both Portuguese and French.
He is (co)author of several scientific publications and writes about issues related to data and statistics in different contexts for example in El País, The Huffington Post, infolibre, or the Agenda of the World Economic Forum (WEF). Ansgar also collaborates with the leading Spanish thinktank Fundación Alternativas and supported during several years the executive board of the Hispanic-German Society of Young Managers.
